How Do I Begin HGV Training Bournemouth?
To begin your HGV training, Bournemouth residents need only call Wayside Transport. You’ll speak with one of our helpful training course advisors who will explain the course to you, including what’s involved. If you’re happy to proceed, they’ll get you booked onto the next course date. Alternatively, we offer training solutions to businesses looking to upskill employees with HGV driving competencies.
HGV training can be carried out either at your site or ours. You’ll need to have passed a medical test before applying. You can download the medical form from our website and just take this with you to your doctor’s surgery. Your doctor must complete the form, and this must be submitted of your provisional licence application. Once you’ve obtained your provisional licence, you will undergo theory training first.
This is because, unlike when you learnt how to drive, you must pass your theory test before you can begin your practical training. The theory covers two modules, including hazard perception and multiple-choice questions. Once you’d completed all prerequisites, you’ll be able to begin your practical training. This will eventually lead to your practical test, which you must pass in order to obtain your HGV licence.
