Allmi Lorry Loader


These lorry loader crane  (commonly referred to as HIAB) training courses are designed for operators of trailer, truck or lorry mounted hydraulic cranes. The courses are compiled to suit novice operators, experienced users and candidates requiring refresher training .

We also conduct conversion courses to enable candidates  to move from lever control to remote control operation or from one attachment to another, hook to block/brick grab for example.

The hydraulic lorry loader crane training courses can also cover the use of any other vehicle mounted hydraulic cranes where the stability of the crane is dictated by its stabilisers. The lorry loader crane training programs are suitable for a wide range of industries.

Our ALLMI training courses are conducted on customer premises using customer equipment although we can cater for your training at our training centre if you want to bring your lorry to us. 

Our vehicle mounted crane training courses are accredited by ALLMI and are recognised by the Construction Industry as meeting the standards required for the CSCS scheme.

We can offer:

  • 2 day novice courses for a maximum of 4 novice ALLMI crane operators
  • 1 day refresher courses for a maximum of 4 ALLMI lorry loader card holders
  • 1 day experienced operator courses for 4 lorry loader operators with RTITB, NPORS, AITT, CPCS, Lantra or ITSSAR certification (provided the certification issue is within 5 years and 6 months of the ALLMI course start date).

What to expect from Wayside Transport.

A full theoretical and practical instruction and practical and written assessments. Every successful operator receives a certificate of competence, a photographic certification card and the ALLMI Operator’s manual. Certification is valid for 5-years or shorter dependant on risk analysis. Refresher training is also offered by Wayside Transport.
